Monique Anderson Walker, MSRE, is a cross-sector leader whose work bridges healthcare access, health equity, and the commercial real estate systems that support care delivery.

She is the Principal Broker of Fleur de Lis, LLC, a commercial real estate brokerage and development advisory firm, where she advises institutional, nonprofit, and corporate clients on real estate strategy across office, healthcare, industrial, land, and specialty assets. A licensed Realtor since 1999, she has served the Washington, DC and Maryland markets for more than two decades.

Ms. Anderson Walker brings a health-infrastructure lens to commercial real estate, aligning site selection, occupancy, and development decisions with community health needs. Her work includes facilitating the siting and negotiation of a Veterans' Affairs Medical Center outpatient facility in Prince George's County, expanding access to federal healthcare services through strategic real estate placement. She has also advised medical and health-adjacent organizations on property acquisition, tenanting, and repositioning in support of service delivery and workforce accessibility. Most recently, she provided advisory services for the wind-down of a Washington, DC medical practice in anticipation of the retirement of a physician who had been practicing medicine for 57 years — a complex, multi-faceted engagement encompassing practice valuation, marketing the practice for sale, HIPAA-compliant records management, equipment liquidation, continuity-of-care planning through provider referral networks, lease termination and assumption preparation, patient outreach, and the establishment of a custodian of medical records. She also developed a dedicated social media presence to address patient FAQs throughout the transition — ensuring the practice's decades-long patient community was informed, supported, and connected to ongoing care.

She previously served nearly a decade as Vice Chair of the Community Foundation of Prince George's County, providing fiduciary oversight and strategic leadership for philanthropic investments focused on healthcare access, safety-net services, workforce development, and family stability. Her governance emphasized sustainability, accountability, and systems-level impact.

Ms. Anderson Walker served as an elected Prince George's County Council Member representing District 8 — a district of 105,000 residents encompassing National Harbor, MGM National Harbor, Joint Base Andrews, Fort Washington, and the communities of Oxon Hill and Forest Heights. Branded as District GR8, The Economic Engine, and the Global Gateway, the district sits at the intersection of regional commerce, federal infrastructure, and community need. During her tenure she championed environmental resilience as lead sponsor of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers countywide flood study — identifying flood-prone areas and upstream causes to guide stormwater infrastructure investments, protect homeowners and businesses, and mitigate long-term property devaluation. She founded #DrivingItHome, a Vision Zero public safety initiative focused on eliminating pedestrian, bicyclist, and vehicle fatalities through education, engagement, and policy advocacy. She also launched the District 8 Senior Circulator, providing free transit access between senior housing communities and essential services to reduce isolation and improve quality of life.

As a member of the Prince George's County Board of Health, Ms. Anderson Walker governed during a period of transformational change in the county's healthcare landscape — including the transition that brought the University of Maryland Capital Region Health system online. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she designed and implemented a prescription assistance program to address chronic illness management for uninsured, underinsured, and cost-burdened residents, developed in partnership with Adventist Healthcare Fort Washington and Greater Baden Medical Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The program provided co-payment assistance and medication access support, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of the community could maintain continuity of care during the public health crisis.

She holds a B.A. from Emory University, an M.A. from Howard University, and an M.S. in Real Estate Development & Infrastructure from Johns Hopkins University.
